Strengths:
Subtle meanings that are highly descriptive, unique, and relatable to most. Her style is non-confrontational and highly welcoming to a vast array of people. She’s willing and able to experiment with form and subject matter, and can contend with most in regards to her wit, personality, and charm--- which all ring out through her countless amounts of poems.
Weaknesses:
It’s obvious she has something on her mind, but with every poem she seems to just touch on what that is. Perhaps that’s the alluring part of her poetry, but it might annoy some as well… as her poetry might seem to just stray from here to there without going anywhere. She might just be the abstract painter with a ton of stuff going on behind the scenes or she might just lie in some teasing obscurity with no secret at all--- a dilemma that can be exciting to read through or dreadfully dull to others.

Overall Analysis:
Someone who can obviously control the crowd with her words, Amanda Joy’s poetry is soothing and relentlessly sentimental (which can be taken as either a good or bad thing). I battled between giving her a high 8 and a low 9, but settled with the 9 because of her mass appeal and willingness to share her heart’s work with others.
