Strengths:
A ridiculously beautiful site, jazzed up with pictures and such that truly make it “her place”. Extremely willing to experiment with style, subject matter, and form… which obviously appeals to (and might be the reason for) her significant amount of readers. She uses soft language that might cause the average poet sophisticate to cringe, but will cause the average person to adore her. She really allows her great personality to shine through not only her work, but her entire corner of the blogosphere.
Weaknesses:
It seems, at times, she’s just writing for writing’s sake, and has no real meaning or significance in every piece, but that’s too be expected from such an entertaining poet. I’m almost positive the words would sound better coming from her mouth as well. She seems to depend on the reader to understand the intended flow and poetic pauses, as opposed to indicating those with some much needed line breaks. Her poetry was easy enough to find amongst her touches of charming personal notes, short stories, and imagery, but her poetry could definitely benefit from some form of organizational links to her favorites (at the very least).

Overall Analysis:
I think she is the essence of online poetry. Interesting, personable, reliable, inspirational, and warm are all words that describe “Lainey’s Place”. A 7, but a very high 7.
